here again to tell you about a contest!

I know it's a liiittle late to be starting this, but hey, better late than never!
The theme is, of course, Halloween!

The Rulez

Dress Julie-Su up in either a costume (a witch, vampire, Frankenstein's monster, etc.) or a cosplay of another character (Spongebob, Avatar, FMA, Joel from MST3K, etc.).

The media may be anything you wish (heck, you can cosplay her being a vampire or Spongebob if you want! XD).

The costume/cosplay must be appropriate for all audiences (not everyone's 18+ ).

Please put effort into your work. It doesn't have to be DaVinci or Michelangelo, but if it just looks like you slapped something together in 2 seconds it won't qualify.

Send us a link via note when you're finished.

One entry per person.

Last day to submit will be November 20th. Depending on how many entries there are, judging will take a few days. Winners will be notified via note and the results will be posted in this journal.

Prizes
Prizes will be drawings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
1st place will receive one full-body colored request of a character, either their own or one from a series.
2nd will receive a full-body black and white request, again a character of their choice.
3rd will receive a bust sketch of a character of their choice.

So get those pencils sharpened and have fun!

Hi there, here! Got something to talk about:

and myself have been trying to figure out how to deal with favorite-ing/collecting in the club. We believe we may have come up with something.

From now on, we ask our members that when you create an image, to create a copy of it for the club and place text on the copy, stating something along the lines of "Do not fav this image, visit link below for original". Try to place the text towards the top of the image.
We also ask that you create a watermark for the copy. Somewhere along the bottom of the image should be a good place to put it. (If you know how to make it transparent, then it can go over the top of the image itself). *If you have any previous works in the club, you may send a new copy with text and watermark if you wish, but for now they will have the standard DA watermark text, which I will begin working on shortly.*
When you are submitting your work, send us the two links: the copy for the club, and to the original in your account.
If you have any questions, just ask on this journal.

You'll notice that I also made a "stop sign" for the front page. We'll try it out and see if it works somewhat.

I've also noticed that some club members are violating this rule as well. You should all know by now that if you like it, don't FAV it here. I can't stress that enough.

UPDATE 7/13/07: Slight rule adjustments.

Hello, welcome to the Protect Julie-Su club; a place where Julie-Su fans can freely defend their favorite echidna girl from relentless bashing and being hated for all the wrong reasons. As some may have noticed, Julie-Su has been losing some respect over the years; mainly because Rouge has now come into the picture. Rouge and Knux/Rouge extremists alike have been viciously attacking Julie-Su simply because she's in love with everyone's favorite echidna. While everyone's entitiled to their own opinions, we also have the right to disagree and have our own opinions on Julie-Su.

So if you're a big Julie-Su/Knux/Julie-Su fan or what not, feel free to send me a note (or add to the watch list), and I'll add you to the club. Also, be sure to watch the club for more updates on journals and submitted artwork.

How to submit art:

It's easy. Just send me a note with the link to your deviation, but be sure they're jpegs or gifs... Actually, you can try pngs too, it was okay with the Julie-su stamp.

Club rules:

1.) Don't flame each other.
2.) Do not go around flaming people who don't like Julie-Su, or I'll have to kick you out if I catch you.
3.) Julie-Su haters, do not flame this club, or I will have to report you. You may have the right to your own opinion, but as I said before, we have a right to disagree.
4.) When defending Julie-Su in this club, do not flame Julie-Su haters (especially if it's towards a specific person). You can say what's wrong with their opinion, but please try to stay calm.
5.) When submitting artwork, please do not send hentai or anything else associated with that.
6.) You can submit any art with Julie-Su as long as it's not naughty.
7.) No kill pics please. Slapstick and heroic deaths are fine, but no killing out of pure hatred please.
8.) Don't mean to be crabby, but out of respect for the artists, I'm going to be a bit more firm on this rule. When favoring artwork, PLEASE DO NOT ARTWORK IN THE CLUB. AT THE ORIGINAL LOCATION OF THE ARTWORK WITHIN THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS GALLERY (A LINK WILL BE PROVIDED FOR YOU TO FOLLOW). IT IS AGAINST DEVIANTART'S RULES TO COMMENT AND WITHIN THE CLUB ITSELF. THE COMMENTS WERE DISABLED FOR A REASON. Please respect the artist and give them the credit they deserve.
9.) Sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself.

-I will not affiliate with kill clubs or fan-created pairing clubs (no offense to those), but everything else should be good. They don't necessarily have to center around Sonic characters, either. So anime and Disney and other things are good too.
